Government and Mass Conspiracy

I’m not generally the kind of guy that goes spouting conspiracy theories but I must confess the constant barrage of global negativity, mass mediocrity and paralysing suffocation of murder, government corruption, the financial crisis and increasing taxes is THE no.1 conspiracy of the modern world!

A conspiracy to pollute your mind, break your spirit & leave you with an overwhelming feeling that you’re small, insignificant, weak and helpless. It’s not your fault, the mass media serves to condition people to accept mediocrity by putting garbage into people’s minds… garbage in and garbage out!

Whether the mass media do this as a conscious objective, or unknowingly as a by-product is largely irrelevant. The end result is still the same.

Let’s have a look at some of the things in the world that are keeping you trapped…

#1 The News

I can honestly say that I never watch the news and haven’t now for well over two years. A trustworthy person in my network will tell me the important stuff I need to know or I may pick up on newsworthy items through social media. It seems to be all that anyone ever talks about is the news.

What’s new about the news anyway? Exactly… nothing! Same crap… different day… different people! There was a murder in city x to person y. There was a rape victim on day x to person y in city z. Simply complete the formula as necessary to get a typical ‘news’ story.

Of course, there are an abundance of political stories that make the news since government parties ensure that stories are spun and presented for the best interests of their political agenda. For some reason, countries such as the US and the UK believe that they’re not subjected to political propaganda and have total freedom of speech.

However, whilst waiting around for the missus at the local shop, I picked up a paper left lying around which turned out to be akin to a shopping list of catastrophes and traumas.

I know that the news is ‘normal’ to normal people, however most normal people accomplish fairly little in their lifetime. This is bound to hurt many people who read this but it is the sad and harsh reality and it pains me to say it. I know you’re different though… you’re reading this right now and improving your mindset as a result. What a great investment of your time… to develop these finer distinctions in your thinking to equip you with both motivation, tools and stimulus for positive change.

Those of us who are going somewhere in life have better things to do than to watch the relentless moaning and droning of crimes and disasters that we have almost no power to resolve.

Right now, the world is full of negativity such as murders, crime, starvation, poverty, tax hikes and war. It’s full of gross negativity if you ‘choose’ to see it as full of negativity. You must understand ‘The Importance of Input’ and its effect on your pyschology and outlook of life.

As an entrepreneur, you must stand guard at the door to your mind and not allow the media to poison you. If you’re careless at standing guard diligently at the door of your mind, it’ll kill your ambition, kill your determination, kill your spirit, kill your cashflow, kill your dreams and everything you really live for and love.

Stand guard at the door to your mind.
- Jim Rohn

Listen, let’s be brutally honest here… the mass media is not your friend!

They exist for the purpose of selling you fear, keeping you in a JOB, keeping you paying your 75 per cent in taxes and feeding the government whilst keeping you firmly entrenched in the rat race ‘existence’.

Not only must you protect yourself from the depressive constant onslaught of fear the media hurls at you, you need to combat it with your family and your loved ones united.

#2 Oil

Rising Oil Price Have you ever considered why you keep loading your car up with petrol or diesel? Really considered it? Do you think with modern technology the way it is that there really isn’t a cheaper, cleaner and more viable alternative to using oil based fuel such as petrol and diesel to run our automobiles?

Cars can be run using numerous other fuels including electricity, liquid petroleum gas, biofuels, hydrogen and even things like chip fat.

What’s stopping these cars from being manufactured and bought into mainstream production, so we can benefit from cheaper fuel and a cleaner environment?

The government, oil companies and rich oil sheeks all have a vested interest in making sure that oil based fuel is still the fuel of choice at the pump. Does it make you wonder why these technologies aren’t becoming mainstream? The government are collecting up to 58% of the price per litre in taxation revenues. This is around 58p in fuel duty and 23p in VAT in the UK and the price per litre is at around £1.39 per litre of diesel as at the time this post was republished. The government definitely don’t want to be missing out on this ‘little’ revenue stream, especially since they dug themselves into a nice little hole accumulating record levels of debt after huge borrowing from such massive over-spending.

#3 The Banking System

London Financial District

In the UK, we have entrepreneurs such as Richard Branson who look to consistently break into new markets where the customer is not getting value for money. Branson is renowned for going up against the big boys in industries, offering the consumer value for money but yet he can’t actually break into the banking industry because it’s an “old boys” club which contains Barclays, Lloyds TSB, Natwest, HBOS and HSBC all under the guise of competition. All the banks offer similar deals in interest rates for their products but they’re varied enough that the deals appear that there’s competition in the marketplace. Just enough to keep consumer groups and monopolies commissions off their backs. Banks are even bailed out by the government when the going gets tough and a cynic may even question the motives of the government with such practises.

The banks are quick to offer mortgages for people to buy their own homes and take on ridiculous levels of debt and interest payments on their repayment mortgages just for lending out the money. Whilst the interest rates appear to be low, the amount that is actually repaid over the duration of the mortgage is extremely significant. Take a look at this calculator to see the impact of borrowing for a repayment mortgage.

The word ‘mortgage’ is derived from the French verb ‘mortir’ which means “to die.” A mortgage literally means an engagement until death and people are willingly entering these all the time. Don’t get me wrong, owning a property rather than renting a property is a smart move since you’re building equity and in effect, you’re likely to become an ‘accidental investor’. What isn’t so smart is being forced to pay top dollar for the property since the interest rate is so high. After all, a low APR doesn’t sound like much until you map it out on a mortgage repayment calculator.

Conclusion

Protect yourself and your family from negative programming. You deserve to be consuming the most nutrituous mental foods. You need to smile. You need to greet everyone you meet with encouragement… your customers, suppliers, outsourcers, JV partners, friends and family.

You need to talk about what’s really happening behind the scenes.

Choose your reality by electing for a more empowering alternative. Choose your world… a good world… a world that supports the achivement of your dreams. You need to celebrate those tiny little victories every single day.

And… when you do have a major victory or breakthrough in your life, share it and rejoice with the people who will celebrate it with you.

Why You Need An Internet Marketing Plan (Plus: One For You To Use)

Wanted: The Number One Killer of Aspiring Internet Marketers (and How To Stop It For Good)

First of all, I want to thank Wayne for allowing me the privilege of speaking to you folks. I’m planning to share some cool material with you here, most of which will be exclusive to Wayne’s blog.

For this first post, I wanted to share something that has profoundly affected my business over the past three weeks and that I know will impact everything I do from now on. It also allowed me to find the number one killer of aspiring Internet marketers…

Cue flashback.

It began while I was putting together a product to help those starting out online. It shows them what the successful people are doing and how you can copy them.

Anyway, as I was working on it and literally 2 days before it was due to go live, my internet went down. Now ordinarily, this wouldn’t necessarily be a problem. I could still write content for my blog and just wait for the net to be re-connected to upload it. But during a launch, this is not the situation you want to get into.

However, something great happened. You see, in order to get online, I had to get myself a ‘dongle’ that could connect to the Internet via a mobile connection. I didn’t want to waste my contract time so when I wasn’t using the Internet for work, I switched the connection off. And guess what? My productivity went through the roof.

I had to be incredibly focused and use my time online effectively because it was limited. It was almost like a scarcity tactic working in my favour. I only had it for short periods of time, so everything I did online was directed towards progress. I couldn’t get distracted by Facebook due to time or watch videos on YouTube due to the amount of data it required. I needed to come up with an Internet marketing plan and stick to it.

When I got the net back, I made sure I remembered this and it lead me to be quite harsh with myself in terms of how I spend my time online.

You see, with Internet Marketing, it’s easy to split your focus and be consumed with learning newer and newer strategies, while only applying them a little before moving on. This is the number one killer of small businesses, especially online businesses.

The key is to decide how you’re going to earn money online and then work out what needs to happen for you to do that. For example, I know I need a list of several thousand responsive subscribers in order to make money from e-mail marketing and drive traffic to my blog. For that to happen, I need to set up at least two ad swaps or solo ads per week (If you’re not familiar with these then leave a comment below and I’ll explain them).

Knowing that puts me in a powerful position as all I need to do now is to give some of my weekly schedule over to that endeavour on a consistent basis.

So, here’s my Internet Marketing plan for you to follow:

How To Get Better Results

As Internet Marketers, we’re always trying to figure out how to get better results by controlling the flow of information. We’re all aware of the dangers of information overload and its ability to drown us in a vast sea of murky data causing us to feel overwhelmed, stressed and generally out of sorts.

On the one hand, we know that we need to keep studying to improve our knowledge so we can act more effectively and produce better results.

Yet on the other hand, we know we must not give ourselves simply too much information or the information will be as indigestible as a starving man that has completely over-indulged at an all you can eat Indian buffet.

All the information through our senses goes through a filtration process where we judge its relevancy against what it is we’re trying to achieve. For those of you that have studied NLP, or are into Tony Robbins, Christopher Howard and T. Harv Eker, you’ll recognise this part of your mind as the Reticular Activating System (RAS). This controls the flashlight of your focus at any one time depending on what you have consciously instructed, or more likely in our society, unconsciously allowed your mind to pay attention to.

Once  your mind’s RAS has been set, it will receive stimulus from the external environment through our five senses (six if you want to count intuition). This information will be filtered by our RAS by deleting, distorting and generalising the information to make it more palatable for us to accept as humans. If we were to take in every bit of information that’s possible, we would simply find it too much to be able to arrange that information into any sort of usable information that we can take action on.

The question then becomes:

How can we control our RAS to notice the things that are important to us?

Of course, the presupposition here is that we actually know what it is that is important to us in the first place. Most people go through life and never really understand what it is that’s important to them. They don’t even give it much conscious consideration and simply believe they’re a direct result of their circumstances and are powerless to changes them.

The diagram below shows the change in our state when we receive new information from the external environment and what happens to our state once we have received it. To make this example more obvious, I want you to think of an extreme situation where you can associate yourself with the emotion that the news brought.

Perhaps you can think back of first hearing the news that a loved one has just passed away? This may be painful while your focus is here but it will also be enlightening for you to understand the way we behave when we receive such news.

Changes of State

As you can see, the first thing that happens is we receive the news through our senses, then our focus immediately changes which causes a change in our physiology. The change in our physiology changes the way we feel which in turn changes the quality of our actions and behaviour. Of course this affects the result we get in the physical world.

When trying to get better results, most people see and experience a result that they don’t want and try to change the action. However, looking at the diagram, it’s clear to see that changing the action is not making a change at the root of the problem.

To make a proper shift, we need to change our focus. We can change our focus by giving things a different meaning – this is our point of power.

I know that this is easier said than done and I, like everyone else, have daily challenges in changing my focus to one that is more empowering and serves me in working towards my personal goals. Challenges are thrown at you constantly and it’s up to you to see those challenges in an empowering way that serves you to progress your business and life.

Let me give you an example of what I mean…

A man and woman can be happily married for 20 years, then all of a sudden, the marriage breaks up and ends in a bitter divorce. The man might say:

That marriage was a nightmare! I was bruised and broken and I’m never getting married again.

The woman might say:

That marriage was a nightmare. I was bruised and broken but I can’t wait to get married again.

You see, it’s not what happens to us which determines our well-being and our destiny, it’s the meaning we attach to what happens. Remember this:

Outcome = Event + Response

You see, events happen to all of us… our family members pass away, we lose jobs, relationships break down, etc.

Whilst some people may experience these events more frequently, or more severely than others, we all have experience of these events.

However, the ‘Response’ part of the equation is where control lies and it’s this control that determines the outcome from that event. It’s your decision to choose how you are going to respond to the events that life throws your way.

Albeit difficult, it’s worth remembering that we can control the meaning that we give to the events of our lives.

We simply don’t need to be imprisoned with the tyranny of our own conditioned thoughts which mainly judge things as either good or bad, even positive or negative. Things can simply be either empowering (which serves us) or disempowering (which limits us). They can be favourable or unfavourable, or they can be desirable or undesirable.

Consciously take charge of your focus and use it to propel your results to the next level.
