Hi Wayne, I love your blog. Great insights, content and inspiration.

My name is John Rotnem and many know me as Johnny Hollywood. I am an American comedian living in Germany and I created Germany’s first All-English Stand-up Comedy show called “Hollywood’s Comedy Nights.” (http://www.ask.com/wiki/Hollywood%27s_Comedy_Nights) I perform in English and German throughout Europe and also coach and train new comedians.

I have been involved in Marketing for over 30 years of my life and had the opportunity to be the translator for many famous speakers and book authors. Throughout the years I collected quotes, thoughts and sayings that inspired me. I look through them daily to start my day off with a good mindset.

A little over a year ago I started posting them on my FB page as my “Thought For Today” and developed a following. I have now expanded that to a new blog (http://JohnRotnem.com/Thoughts ) where I share the thoughts, my take on them, a video or an article I’ve found that underlines the importance of that thought.

My goal is to give people something that will help in their personal growth and help them reach a higher level. As we all know, “A rising tide raises all ships”

So let’s raise the tide together and set sail for bigger and better things.

Cheers, Smiles; Love, Laughs and Success,

What a great “rockstar” name! I’m not sure whether you sound more like someone from Jackass or Top Gun. :)

Sounds an interesting occupation that you have entertaining people.

Well done on building your following.

I too love quotes. They are bite-sized pieces of perfectly succinct mental programming.

I have a huge collection of quotes which I post to Twitter all day long. My Twitter ID is http://twitter.com/FastSelfHelp

You’ll definitely get loads of quotes which you can use for your sites from there. :)

    Hi wayne
my name is Louise and I am a stay at home mom at the moment so decided to build a website to try and make some money from home.. starting to think i picked the wrong product because even after getting to page one on google for my key words… still no sales but am trying to stick with it. maybe posting here will help.

    • Wayne Lambert July 10, 2011 at 21:42 #

      Hi Louise,

Haven’t seen you here before, so welcome to my blog. :)

What is the product you’re selling Louise? Let me take a look at the page.

Is the traffic buyer traffic or info seekers?

How much traffic are you getting to that page?

It is worth sticking with although there is no quick fix to making money online.

It is a business and therefore takes a significant investment in both time and capital.

    Hi Wayne…
Man, am I SO destined to meet you!
Have been struggling with IM from 2 different directions of late and found the other part of this site and saw how good your site is and left a post.

After seeing how good your site was, I immediately decided I would either sell my fledgling BeginnersInternetMarketingSchool.com site, with the first week of 40 hours of lessons all done and ready to go…
    or
make it into a community site where raw beginners could come and post their wares for free, as a boost for them.

Then I thought I’d come back to read your FaceBook info to promote my IM travel tour site, but somehow landed in this section…

    OMG…How scary is that?
You ARE doing what I thought I had just invented!

So, now I’m at a bit of a loss of what to do.

Could I maybe sell the site on here?
Could you help me please, seeing as everything(almost) that I was going to do, you already have got going in here somewhere I guess.

Talk about the Universe conspiring with me to make a decision!
Will wait with baited breath for your answer,
    Thanks,
    Poppie/Mary

Thank-you Wayne for that great response…

Of course you are correct in your statement that there’s no reason I couldn’t do the same…

It’s just that yours is so nice and clean, well organized and professional looking!

BIMS isn’t up and running yet, but will be launched towards the end of this month (August).

Beginners Internet Marketing School is just that.
A basic step by step course, sent 5 days a week with daily lessons to learn and assignments to complete with each lesson. Just like in school! Whaaaa :-(

It is broken into Skill Sectors, geared to producing certain results for each sector.
Skill Sector 1 is geared to get students online, earning their first dollar by building a money pipeline, testing it is open and getting that first dollar through it!

BIMS is based on the premise that most of the info out there is geared for folk who already are up and running and only need to tweak or improve their pipelines. My experience is that most of those products are not really suitable for rank outsiders trying to get started.

I am offering the first part of my new book, “The Mentor Rules” (hard copy to be published by Xmas) as a free download to visitors until BIMS is up and running shortly!
Thank you for reassuring me and giving me confidence to continue!,
        Kindest,
        Poppie

        • Wayne Lambert August 7, 2011 at 12:25 #

          Hi Poppie,

I think you’re right. Most info out there, like mine for example, is geared towards people who are already up and running.

As long as you are ahead of your market in terms of achievement, you are OK to teach them.

After all, you do not need to be an Olympic walker to teach a child how to walk.

Hi Wayne, thank you for the opportunity…I’m the founder of a company called GetUsSocial. We help small businesses discover the next generation of ‘Word of Mouth’ via social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn. We are a business for profit but one of the secondary reason I started the company for is to provide college students a internship opportunity which is dwindling down due to the economic downturn. All my staff is pretty much college students practicing the academic knowledge they gain in the school in the real world. You can find us on http://www.getussocial.com or on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/getussocial or on Twitter under GetUsSocial.

      • Nezih Cakir August 6, 2011 at 14:01 #

No not really. Hiring , in general, is still very tight and small businesses are not really looking to provide any break to students who don’t have experiences unless it’s a restaurant business or something in the service industry which does not require a unique skill. These types of hires are for controlling payroll by paying minimum wage not necessarily creating opportunities for students to gain real world experiences aligned with their studies. We need to get the economy moving for small businesses and perhaps then the doors will open.
        Thanks for your inquiry.

        • Wayne Lambert August 6, 2011 at 17:31 #

There are tons of options to drive traffic to your site. I document these in great detail in the member’s area.

Advertisements that people put on their own blogs are usually for the benefit of making sales rather than driving traffic to their own products/services.

    Hi Wayne,
I introduced my company GetUsSocial to you few days ago. We are not in the business for Blogging and make money via Blogging. We are using our Blog to help our clients with valuable topics and also create engagement. What is your POV regarding the % of original content vs curated content on these types of blogs? Secondly, I have been trying to get some guest bloggers but had not been successful because our sites are not heavy traffic. Do you have any suggestions? I thank you very much for your valuable guidance.

    • Wayne Lambert August 8, 2011 at 21:49 #

      Hi Nezih,

      Two things…

      1) I use only original content on my blog as it is the highest value content for readers. Some of my content is generated by guest authors but the majority by myself.

      2) I have had a look at your site and the reason guest bloggers won’t want to publish is because your site doesn’t receive much traffic (over 1,000,000 Alexa rank) and it is a low authority site in the eyes of Google (PR 0/10).

Your site is a static HTML site, so you will need to ping the search engines manually to keep them up to date with your content.

Since your domain is just over 2 months old, it is likely to still be gaining some authority with search engines.

Wayne, I really appreciated your feedback. I’m going to ask one more question re: ranking and guest blogging failure…My ranking is as follows Statistics Summary for getussocial.com
GetUsSocial’s three-month global Alexa traffic rank is 1,493,031. The site is located in the US, and almost all visitors to the site come from the US, where it has attained a traffic rank of 121,094. Getussocial.com has a relatively good traffic rank in the city of Denver (#4,072). As I am serving to US small businesses and focusing Colorado as the primary target and seeing my ranking changed drastically in the last 2 months since we have started, is there any hope for me to attract a guest blogger whose targeting small businesses in the US? How would I locate those people?
I thank you again for your patience and answering my questions.

    Hey Wayne,

My name is Rob Adelphia and I blog over at Today Has Power (com or net).
My goal is to encourage those folks who feel life has passed them by. Indeed, life is passing by, by we do have a choice as to how.
I believe challenges should be embraced and comfort zones exposed for what they are.
I’ve been bungee jumping twice, skydiving, triking (ultralight) and benched 300lbs. My point is hardly to brag. I may have the record for longest (time wise) bungee jump as I have a serious problem with heights. If you want a good laugh you can find that video on YouTube (todayhaspower).
I’ve lifted weights for several years of my life and never put 300lbs up. Well, at 40 years of age I did. So, my point is that if a frightened and uncommitted person like I was can learn to be intentional, so can anyone.
    Thanks, and…Live it LOUD!

Hi Wayne, I just discovered your blog and this post while searching for blogs using commentluv although I see you use keywordluv

I have been online for a couple of years in the health niche and am making a little income from that but nowhere near the full time income that I need to fund my and my husband’s retirement.

I am determined to get there and have also started in the in the internet marketing/making money online niche. If others can do it I see no reason why I can’t.

I am a bit of a coaching course junkie and have just started another coaching course and am going back to basics with my personal blog. So here I am doing blog commenting as my coach says to start building some traffic to my blog that I started on a previous course. I am looking for a new blog theme too)

I am determined to make this work. I have plenty of time to devote to it. I really love it and would rather be online trying to make money than doing anything else.

Will spend some time absorbing the great stuff you have on your blog here.

    Hi Wayne,
I came across your blog from a comment you left on another blog I follow. I like to see other commenters’ sites out of curiosity, and enjoy finding sites like yours. Anyway, I sell model trains, and try to put information out into the web about the world’s greatest hobby. Now and days it’s hard to get the young kids away from tv, video games, and other non-productive activities. I feel the days of having a hobby, where you actually learn skills that can be applied to other aspects of life, are fading away. But, if my business fails, I can always use what I learned about SEO and internet marketing to help others grow.

    • Wayne Lambert August 25, 2011 at 23:02 #

      Welcome to my blog Lionel.

Sounds an interesting niche business. What is the demand like for hobbyist trains?
Wayne Lambert invites you to read Increase Your Conversion Rate in Five StepsMy Profile

      • Lionel from Model Train Hobbyist September 1, 2011 at 00:19 #

The demand isn’t too bad, even though the demand for all hobbies in general has declined over the years. The hardest part is that customers are very loyal to hobby shops they already buy from, which can be a good thing once you get a good number of customers.

      Hey Elie,

      Welcome to my blog.

Thanks for letting my readers know about your services.

It’s funny you should say that as my mother has a finca on the Rio Tinto about 10km away from Huelva that she cannot sell.

Is that something you or someone in your network would be able to sell? ;-)

      Welcome back Katz.

That’s a refreshing choice of niche. I like your site.

I would remove the hyperlink from your url.com reference and would also be tempted to make the font slightly darker and change the colours of the hyperlink so they stand out more.

I think you’ll benefit from an easier to read site and higher clickthroughs on the links. :-)

    Hello Wayne,

What a great idea – Thank you. I am passionate about sharing true stories of natural healing with others, so they can heal themselves and I can interview them at a future date about their successful cure! I post their empowering stories on my blogs. I am always looking for people who have healed themselves of different things as people want to know if someone has healed themselves of a specific condition, like melanoma or non hodgkins lymphoma or aids. Of course the truth is there are stories of natural cures for everything and people are able to heal from so called rare and deadly diseases as soon as they 1. realize they can and 2. take steps to do so.
    Our blogs are thegoodwitch.ca, incrediblehealingjournals.com and healingcancer.ca

      Hi Ted,

Thanks for introducing yourself and telling us about your blog.

A great strategy to use to get your blog up and running is to interview people who have already had success with blogging and online business.

I have given quite a few interviews to various people who have asked and it does benefit both parties in a win-win situation. This is especially good when you already have a bit of a readership and a small list in place to promote your interviews to.

  78. Hamish December 4, 2011 at 15:49 #

    Hello Wayne,

What a lovely and gracious gesture this post is. Thanks for the opportunity mate.

My main interest is ebook readers and tablet computers – it’s harder and harder to draw a line between them these days (although they are very different).

However, I’m just as interested in how these devices are used as I am in the hardware itself. Without getting on my soap box (too much), I think that ebook readers are the biggest change in reading and publishing since Gutenberg invented the printing press.

They are going to change the way that we buy books, the way books are read and the way that books are brought to market and published. You can already see self published authors that have never been near a publisher selling over a million copies on Amazon!

Anyway, that’s my thing – and thanks again for the platform!

  96. Liz from online diamond advice January 18, 2012 at 20:16 #

When it comes to buying a diamond engagement ring, most men run scared. They don’t know where to start and tend to just believe all the marketing hype that large retailers and untrustworthy diamond dealers tell them.

Hi, I’m Liz and I am the owner of http://www.onlinediamondbuyingadvice.com

If you ever wanted to know how to buy the best and biggest diamond online for your budget, this site tells you the real insider secrets on the famous 4 C’s of diamond buying. Things like:

    • Most people cannot tell the difference between a ‘D’ colored diamond and an ‘I’colored diamond if viewed separately, so why pay more?

    • Why you should buy an “eye-clean” diamond, as opposed to spending all your money on a high clarity grade that doesn’t matter anyway to the naked eye.

    • Diamond cut is the most important diamond characteristic. Ideal and Excellent cuts are preferred, find out why here: http://www.onlinediamondbuyingadvice.com/insiders-knowledge/diamond-cut/

I’m passionate about educating the diamond consumer because so many are looking for a diamond that is good value for money, but they just don’t know where to start.

Thanks Wayne for the fabulous opportunity to promote here! All the best for 2012!

  97. Olivia from Shopaholic is great January 22, 2012 at 11:28 #

Hello Wayne, thanks for this promote page.

My name is Olivia, I’m a happy working-at-home mom. I have been making money online since a couple years ago. It was hard at the first year, but now I can make a good living just by online with my laptop.

Making money online is not as the most people may think. When the most of everybody doing in the same way, there’s no profit or even less, there’s a lot of money to spend.

If we talk about the Internet, we talk about UNLIMITED source of making money online, worldwide! Think out of the box, and so nothing is impossible! Luckily, I have seen this Youtube private video – http://bit.ly/wPXhVQ – and it’s make me get inspired, I hope someones will get inspired too.

And one more thing, having a website is the most important to do, especially to start making money online. Without a website, making money online is just like a salesman doing his door-to-door jobs. I recommend host your site with HOZTin – http://hoztin.com – they provide UNLIMITED web-space at affordable price.
