I’ll Believe It When I See It

One of the most ludicrous expressions used in the English language is the phrase:

I’ll believe it when I see it!

The phrase is one used from a place of scepticism which is just a form of fear since fears are based upon uncertain future outcomes. Since the mind’s function is to protect, the expression “I’ll believe it when I see it” is fabricated by the mind to protect you since it prevents you from experiencing disappointment and pain when the desired future outcome is not met as the mind has set expectations at a low level.

The challenge with this expression is that it’s mental conditioning is the exact antithesis of success. Every great visionary lives by the opposite expression of:

I’ll see it when I believe it!

Furthermore, Napoleon Hill talks about this in his famous 1937 wealth classic ‘Think and Grow Rich‘ , where he famously quotes:

If you can conceive it and believe it, you will achieve it.

Within that quote is the obvious lesson that you need to believe in what you desire before you actually achieve it (ie. actually see results in the physical, material world).
