Your AdWords Account Has Been Closed

Humour me a second… imagine receiving the following letter from Google and consider how you would react?

OK, you can see I’m about to be a little flippant to get my point across, but consider the event and the effect to be a real possibility, especially if you’re using Google AdWords to drive traffic to build your list or market other people’s products as an affiliate.

Have a think for a second…

* How would this type of news affect you?

* Would you be really struggling for traffic?

* Would it stop your online income entirely?

* Would it mean that your business would come to a grinding halt?

If you’re solely using Google AdWords to drive your traffic, then you may wish to consider your vulnerabilities and admit that you’re at the Big G’s disposal. Ouch!

Undoubtedly you’ll have heard that Google no longer accepts direct linking from their ads and marketing your opt in pages using AdWords is a joke because it’s ridiculously expensive due to the poor quality scores of landing pages (or squeeze pages as they’re often known as in the Internet Marketing world).

Hear me properly, I love Google and their services but I wouldn’t dream of handing the keys to my business to Google and sheepishly say to them, “don’t lose them, will you?”

I hear of so many business owners, and worse still, even online marketers who are using Google AdWords solely to drive traffic to their sites. This can only spell ‘disaster’ when Google decide they want to change their advertising policies and decide that your campaign is no longer within their terms and conditions.

Make a decision to master more than one method of strategy. You need to aim to master four methods of traffic but mastering them one at a time. This is important for your focus and overall Internet Marketing business strategy. Consider using SEO. Many people are searching for solutions with Google and the other search engines and SEO really is a simple as ABC, although it’s often over-complicated by many SEO professionals.

Don’t just hand your entire online traffic generation strategy over to one big almighty Internet superpower.
